Irish retail sales Christmas cracker

Irish retail sales showed the sixth-strongest growth in Europe over the Christmas and January sales period according to the latest research from property consultants CBRE.

Irish retail sales increased by 3.7 per cent compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.

But Marie Hunt of CBRE in Ireland says that if online sales were included, as they are with other countries surveyed, then Ireland could have turned in a better performance.
