Irish Rail is planning to install wind turbines in the car parks of its train stations across the country.

On-site wind energy is expected to generate power at six of Irish Rail’s railway stations by the end of the year.
The deadline for submission for turnkey contracts to build and operate the turbines at the six stations, with a clause to build a further six if these are successful, is Friday.
