Irish people are travelling less - CSO

The total number of overseas trips made by Irish residents decreased by 1.1 per cent to 1,355,900 during February, March and April, CSO statistics showed.

Irish people are travelling less, according to the latest statistics from the Central Statistics Office. The total number of overseas trips made by Irish residents decreased by 1.1 per cent to 1,355,900 during February, March and April, the data showed.

The total number of trips to Ireland also decreased, by 0.2 per cent to 1,401,100, during the period. That was an overall decrease of 2,700 compared to the same period twelve months earlier.
