Irish-owned gym group to sell for €330m

Next Generation Clubs, the British gym group majority-owned by businessmen JP McManus, Dermot Desmond and John Magnier, looks set to achieve its €330 million price tag after short-listing six parties to table second-round bids for the chain.

Next Generation Clubs, the British gym group majority-owned by businessmen JP McManus, Dermot Desmond and John Magnier, looks set to achieve its €330 million price tag after short-listing six parties to table second-round bids for the chain. The majority of the remaining parties are believed to be property investors and private equity firms.

Esporta, the privately-owned gym operator, has be en knocked out of the process after bidding between €260 million and €270 million.
