The body that lobbies for the embattled credit union movement is sending a dozen staff to Australia's Gold Coast next month for the 2014 World Credit Union Conference.

The Irish League of Credit Unions' (ILCU) chief executive, eight board members along with one other staff member and two scholarship members will be heading for the region known for its golden beaches, golf resorts and lush rainforests.
