Irish hotels are 3rd cheapest in Europe

Dublin hotel prices rose 3 per cent this year to €77 but remain far behind most other capital cities, while Belfast prices surged 18 per cent.

Irish hotels: third cheapest in Europe

Average Irish hotel prices were unchanged in the first half of the year and are on a par with those of Greece at €81 a night, a new survey has found.

In Europe, only Portugal (€77) and Malta (€73) are less expensive than Ireland at present.

The survey by Hotels.com showed average global hotel prices rose four per cent, with Switzerland the most expensive location in Europe at an average of €150 per night
