Irish firms are set to reap the rewards of Britain's Help to Buy' housing stimulus scheme, writes Philip Connolly.

Irish firms are set to reap the rewards of Britain's Help to Buy' housing stimulus scheme, with housebuilding group Abbey and building supplies company Grafton both in line to benefit from the expected increase in construction activity due to the new policy.

According to Grafton chief executive Gavin Slark, the government support should see his company start to profit from a pick-up in the British market by the middle of next year.
