Irish disaspora sites backed by McColgan and O'Dowd to merge

Irish diaspora sites Irishcentral.com, founded by US journalist Niall O'Dowd, and World Irish.com, which is backed by Riverdance founder John McColgan, have agreed to merge.

Irish diaspora sites Irishcentral.com, founded by US journalist Niall O'Dowd, and World Irish.com, which is backed by Riverdance founder John McColgan, have agreed to merge.

The new entity, which will operate as Irishcentral.com, will have offices in New York and Dublin and will have more than two million unique visitors monthly, making it the largest disapora site.

The merger will take effect from September 15th.
