Irish director steers Die Hard to top spot

The Irish director of the latest Die Hard movie was celebrating this week after his film notched $25 million in opening ticket sales.

The Irish director of the latest Die Hard movie was celebrating this week after his film opened as the top movie over the U.S. Presidents Day weekend with $25 million in ticket sales for News Corp’s Twentieth Century Fox.

Director John Moore was born in Dundalk and attended Dublin Institute of Technology. He has directed a number of movies for Twentieth Century Fox, including Behind Enemy Lines and Max Payne.
