Irish diamond explorer confirms Finnish potential

Dublin-based diamond prospector Karelian Diamond Resources has said that three microdiamonds have been recovered from material extracted from its bore holes in eastern Finland.

Dublin-based diamond prospector Karelian Diamond Resources has said that three microdiamonds have been recovered from material extracted from its bore holes in eastern Finland.

The results identify new diamondiferous zones in the diamondiferous Seitaperä kimberlite pipe located in the Kuhmo region of Eastern Finland, said the company, whose stated objective is to discover and develop the first diamond mine in the European Union.
