Irish fashion designer Ciaran Sweeney is best known for his use of 19th-century silk screen textile print methods. The designer, who is from Drogheda, Co Louth, studied at the National College of Art and Design in Dublin where he trained as an art teacher specialising in textiles.

He set up his own label soon after graduating and has since received critical acclaim for his work at home and abroad.
