Irish Daily Star to relocate, 9 job cuts expected

UPDATE: Ger Colleran, the Star's longtime editor until November 2011 when he took over as managing director at its publishing company, is resuming his old role.

The Irish Daily Star is relocating to the head office of Independent News & Media (INM) which is assuming full executive responsibility for the tabloid paper.

Ger Colleran, a longtime editor of the paper until November 2011 when he took over as managing director at the Star’s publishing company, is resuming his old role.

That was after Michael O’Kane resigned last November amid controversy at his decision to run topless pictures of Kate Middleton....
