Irish business travellers going mobile

Young Irish business travellers are more likely to use mobile devices to plan trips than their British counterparts, according to travel company Expedia.

Young Irish business travellers are more likely to use mobile devices to plan trips than their British counterparts, according to travel company Expedia.

Research by Expedia found that 75 per cent of all travel bookings from Ireland came from personal computers, compared to a 69 per cent global average, but smartphone use for booking is increasing. The travel firm found that 44 per cent of Irish business travellers used smartphones overseas, with those under 30 driving growth.
