Businessman Louis Maguire is planning to build a €400 million property resort on a 450-acre island on the Danube.

Maguire bought the site in the Serbian capital for less than €10 million from Belgrade’s municipal authority, and 148 acres have been zoned for commercial use. This will allow Maguire to develop apartments, hotels and a shopping centre on that part of the Ratno Ostrvo island.
