Irish Aid likely to donate less to Third World in 2012

Irish Aid expects to provide slightly less money to the Third World this year than it did last.

Irish Aid expects to provide slightly less money to the Third World this year than it did last.

The state agency, which published its annual report today, provides development aid to the Third World.

In 2011, the Government provided €657 million in official development assistance, 0.52 per cent of GNP. The 2012 budget is expected to reach €639 million, which is 0.5 per cent of GNP.
