IRFU set for €15m Six Nations windfall

The IRFU will earn more than €15 million from the three Six Nations rugby games at Croke Park this year, according to internal IRFU estimates.

The IRFU will earn more than €15 million from the three Six Nations rugby games at Croke Park this year, according to internal IRFU estimates.

The rugby governing body expects to clear €5 million per game after covering matchday costs and paying rent to the GAA for the use of the stadium. The figure is roughly double what the IRFU would have earned if the fixtures had been played at the old Lansdowne Road stadium.
