Ireland’s public finances are improving at a very fast pace which is credit positive, ratings agency Moody’s has said.

In its latest credit outlook, Moody’s said the 2016 Irish budget is targeting a general government deficit of 1.2 per cent of GDP which is lower than the 1.7 per cent presented by the government in April.
