Irish designers are set to take this year's London Design Festival by storm, writes Susan Morrell.

Knitted stools, baskets for light fixtures, reclaimed floorboards for chairs: all these and more are going on display at a new exhibition opening on Tuesday at the London Design Festival, and the objects gathered for this special display speak to an Irish sense of home.

With the start last week of one of the most widely-watched design events, the British capital has shifted gears from Olympic sports to an excited gathering of a different kind....
