Ireland's cosmetic clinics to remain unregulated for at least another year

Patients can expect to wait at least another year before outline proposals for the licensing of private clinics are ready.

Patients can expect to wait at least another year before outline proposals for the licensing of private clinics are ready.

In a statement issued after the Joint Committee on Health and Children met to discuss the use of faulty PIP silicone breast implants by some clinics here, the Department of Health said "outline proposals for the new system of licensing should be finalised by year end".
