Ireland scored highest in an index measuring trade confidence across European countries.

HSBC’s latest Trade Confidence Index saw Ireland’s score rise two points from 117 to 119, with any score above 100 signifying confidence. Around 70 per cent of survey respondents expect trade volumes to increase over the next six months, up from 65 per cent in the last survey in March, the survey found.
