Ireland remains "firmly" in competition with Israel for Intel's new €3.3 billion manufacturing plant despite Israeli government officials indicating "intensive discussions" with the chip manufacturer over a €10 billion investment in the Middle- Eastern country.
Last week, Israel's head of investment, Nahum Itzkovich, told an Israeli newspaper that the country's government was discussing "a huge investment of $10 billion" with Intel as part of "intense discussions" with the chip manufacturer.
