Ireland ahead for mobile broadband but fixed line lags behind

Ireland ranks fifth in the European Union for mobile broadband penetration but lags behind on fixed line broadband, the European Commission has said.

The Commission, which published its annual digital agenda scoreboard, found that mobile broadband penetration stood at 60 per cent for all active users in Ireland as of January.
