According to the annual Country Brand Index 2006, which was released at the World Travel Market this year, Australia ranks as the top overall country brand. This global study of 1,500 international travellers, travel industry experts and hospitality professionals examined how countries rank internationally according to 20 categories or key criteria such as authenticity, history, arts and culture, natural beauty, and so on.
