SMEs have vital role in cutting unemployment, claims finance boss

SMEs could contribute most to reducing unemployment in Ireland, but they are being held back by restricted access to credit remains, according to invoice financing firm, Bibby Financial Services Europe (BFSI).

Speaking at the official opening of Bibby's new Dublin offices in Sandyford last week, Bibby's European chief executive Simon Davies said that SMEs accounted for 99.6 per cent of Irish employers and 70 per cent of the Irish workforce.
