Investors tell Jurys board to consider takeover offer

The board of Jurys Doyle Hotel Group was coming under pressure this weekend from large shareholders to engage at least in preliminary discussions with Precinct, the Irish consortium behind a €1.04 billion takeover approach.

It follows a decision by the takeover panel on Friday to extend the deadline to July 29 for Precinct to announce a formal offer for the hotel group or announce that it would not proceed with an offer.
