Investors will shun hedge funds unless they do more to improve their corporate governance and transparency, according to a new report by PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC).

Investors will shun hedge funds unless they do more to improve their corporate governance and transparency, according to a new report by PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC).

Olwyn Alexander, head of alternative asset management for PwC in Ireland, said the influence of hedge funds and fund-of-fund investments had waned since the onset of the global financial crisis. ‘‘Winning investors’ trust is now top of the agenda,” she said.
