Michael Murray: few Irish politicians are active investors, but those who are appear over-exposed to Ireland and property.

Our masters are like ourselves. The vast majority of those who govern us have little interest in investing in anything other than Irish property. A few have an overseas holiday home. But one thing is certain: nobody can say that our legislature is filled with people with global perspectives, diversified portfolios, or healthy balance sheets. In this, at least, they mimic the population at large.
