INTO branch to ask conference to change bank from AIB

A branch of INTO (the Irish National Teachers' Organisation) will ask the union to consider changing its bankers from AIB at next weekend's annual congress, following recent scandals involving the bank.

The Waterford city branch of the INTO has filed a motion which reads: “In view of recent revelations relating to the Irish banking industry, congress directs the central executive committee to examine alternatives to their current bankers AIB.”
