Pensions are expected to be the hottest investment of 2006. The first wave of Special Savings Investment Accounts (SSIAs) matures in May, and the government may announce an attractive, pension-friendly rollover deal in next month's budget.

The Pensions Board report leaked last week outlines several options that the government could choose to increase the level of pension coverage and adequacy.
