Intercom plotting major US expansion

The Dublin start-up, which began 30 months ago with a simple business offering, is poised to develop rapidly in Ireland and the US after raising $23 million, writes Philip Connolly.

For the four founders of Intercom, that is the aim. At the very least, Eoghan McCabe, Des Traynor, Ciaran Lee and David Barrett have gotten off to a flying start.

It has taken the four founders just 30 months for Intercom to go from an unknown Dublin-based start-up to the talk of Silicon Valley. It has taken the firm just 30 months to raise $30 million.
