The importance of planning for the security of Ireland’s water reserves was stressed by Intel this weekend as the US multinational company begins refitting the former FAB 14 facility at its Kildare plant.

Intel’s head of corporate affairs in Ireland, Brendan Cannon, confirmed that the company’s water requirements would increase with the upgrading of one of the two facilities shut in 2009.
