Inquiry to seek cost contribution from banks

Banks will be asked to make a “sizeable contribution” to the estimated €5 million cost of the banking inquiry.

Hourly and daily limits will be set on how much legal representatives for witnesses can be paid, with a source suggesting that the maximum payment would be well below €1,000 per day.
