Innovada, a small Dublin firm whose communications technology is used to link devices, has won a deal worth up to $8 million (€6.5 million) with a US company.
Ben Hurley, chief executive of Innovada, would not identify the customer, but said it was a major American firm that made meters for utility firms.
Innovada’s technology will be built into the meters, allowing them to be read using wireless technology.
