INM in fighting could scare off ‘white knight’

The news of interest from German publisher Axel Springer in Independent News and Media (INM) has lightened somewhat the gloom enveloping the embattled company. Serious issues with bondholders and a very vocal unhappy shareholder have thrown a thick fog over the Irish media company. This has resulted in the company faring even worse than its international peers, which have started to see a lift in share price.
