Initiative to promote Irish beef in Europe

Bord Bia will this week launch a major initiative aimed at promoting Irish beef in continental Europe.

The state body, which is responsible for food, drink and horticulture exports, wants to expand the distribution of Irish beef in Europe.

This will be achieved by emphasising the branding and promotion of Irish beef as a quality product in “what is now a free and unsupported marketplace'‘, said Bord Bia's chief executive, Aidan Cotter.
