Industrial output rose 7.3% in October

Manufacturing production for October 2011 was 7.3 per cent higher than in September, according to the Central Statistics Office.

Manufacturing production for October 2011 was 7.3 per cent higher than in September, according to the Central Statistics Office.

Output in October increased by 13.4 per cent when compared with October 2010.

The “Modern” sector, comprising a number of high-technology and chemicalsectors, showed a monthly increase in production for October 2011 of 9.2 per cent while an increase of 0.9 per cent was recorded in the “Traditional” sector.
