Sierra Leone and Liberia are to be added to the list of countries that have full-programme status in Ireland’s overseas aid development scheme.

8th April, 2006

Sierra Leone and Liberia are to be added to the list of countries that have full-programme status in Ireland’s overseas aid development scheme.

The announcement will be made in the government’s White Paper, to be published in July. The decision follows the visit of junior minister Conor Lenihan to the two African countries last week.

Lenihan attended an investment conference in Sierra Leone, before visiting 460 Irish troops serving in Liberia.
