A major broker group has called on the government to provide some early access to pension funds in a bid to boost pension take-up among 20 and 30-somethings.
Ciaran Phelan, chief executive of the Irish Brokers Association, said: ''The current disconnect between pensions and the real life financial demands of younger adults needs to be addressed.
According to the IBA, allowing limited access to pension funds would significantly boost pension take-up among younger people.
