More than 2,000 runners and walkers took part in the Colour Dash in the Phoenix Park in Dublin yesterday.

The participants in the race, which was in aid of the Irish Cancer Society, were splashed by cannons shooting powder paint at each kilometre of the 5km race.

Each colour represented a different cancer and 100 per cent of the money raised will go to the charity. The event was sponsored by Crown Paints and Spin 103.8.
