On May 10, 2009, I decided I'd better go and climb a mountain if I want to do this. I had never climbed a mountain to the top before. I stood on top of Carrauntoohil with this idea in my head that I was going to climb Everest.
After climbing Aconcagua [the highest mountain in the Americas] I decided I'd better start telling people, 'I'm thinking about climbing Everest.'
