The euro has come under immense pressure as a result of the Greek crisis, and the single currency – which has been trading strongly for the past number of years – experienced a sharp fall last week.
After trading at$1.32at the beginning of last week, the euro plunged below$1.26 last Thursday before recovering slightly on Friday.
Its performance against sterling was similar.
