Importers and exporters getting back to business

While airlines and their passengers dominated the headlines, many specialist businesses were affected by the limitations on importing and exporting goods by air

After ten days of disruption caused by travel restrictions, Ireland’s importers and exporters hope to shift a backlog of products and return to business as usual this week.

As things return to normal, the first products to get moving will include consignments of Botox, Viagra and oral contraceptives from large pharmaceutical firms based in Ireland, according to the Irish Exporters Association (IEA).
