Ie ‘price-slashing on the way’

Dot.ie registrations will go up by about 10,000 this year and prices will fall in January, according to the head of the ie Domain Registry (IEDR), David Curtin.

Dot.ie registrations will go up by about 10,000 this year and prices will fall in January, according to the head of the ie Domain Registry (IEDR), David Curtin.

Curtin said that, although the next price drop was likely only to be about 12 per cent, the IEDR's long term price strategy would see it slashing prices. This is down to increasingly healthy profit margins and cost-cutting in the not-for-profit organisation.
