IDA chief executive Barry O’Leary has responded to criticisms levelled at him by the Irish Congress of Trade Unions (Ictu) over his comments on wage cuts by multinationals.

Ictu said his comments that such wage cuts were needed to maintain competitiveness was ‘‘utter nonsense’’.
