The Irish Congress of Trade Unions has weighed into the airport pensions crisis with a warning that the troubled €1.4 billion retirement fund must abandon its "very questionable" cash-only investment strategy as "a matter of extreme urgency".
The warning was in a letter, seen by this newspaper, from Congress to the trustees of the fund.
