Chip design services firm IC Mask Design is to invest €450,000 in a new research and development (R&D) initiative backed by Enterprise Ireland.

Chief executive Fergal Brosnan said that the state agency had provided approximately 45 per cent of the funding, with the balance coming from the company’s own reserves.
