ICG takeover talks reach advanced stage

Talks between Irish Continental Group (ICG) chief executive Eamonn Rothwell and the Philip Lynch-led Moonduster consortium on launching a joint bid for the ferries company have reached an advanced stage.

It is understood that discussions, which have been going on since before Christmas, are progressing well and include discussions with three banks about financing.
