The management buyout team at Irish Continental Group (ICG) have been approached with a view to buying Wexford-based ferry company Celtic Link in the event that their buyout of the Irish Ferries owner fails.

It is understood that the key shareholders in the ferry business have contacted the Eamonn Rothwell-led vehicle Aella to assess the group’s interest in the company.
