IBRC invites mortgage holders to deal with arrears

The IBRC will write to hundreds of struggling mortgage holders this week inviting them to participate in the Central Bank's mortgage arrears resolution process.

The Irish Bank Resolution Corporation (IBRC) will write to hundreds of struggling mortgage holders this week inviting them to participate in the Central Bank's mortgage arrears resolution process (Marp).

The bank will invite mortgage holders to engage with the IBRC on their debts, while some will be offered the chance to surrender their homes voluntarily in return for a debt deal.
