IBRC in discussions on wider bank system, says Aynsley

Irish Bank Resolution Corporation is involved in discussions on wider restructuring within the Irish banking system, chief executive Mike Aynsley has said.

Irish Bank Resolution Corporation is involved in discussions on wider restructuring within the Irish banking system, chief executive Mike Aynsley has said.

“Unless these banks get in a profitable position, they’re not going to be able to provide credit,” he said.

Aynsley also said he expects the final bill for rescuing the former Anglo Irish Bank will be between €25 billion and €28 billion.
